First introduced in 1935 as the Sac à Dépêches it wasn’t until Grace Kelly fell in love with the bag on the set of Alfred Hitchcock’s “To Catch a Thief” in the mid-1950s that the rest of the world caught on and demand went through the roof. By 1977, Hermès officially renamed the bag Kelly.
